Ness and Sean’s wedding day was a fun and vibrant summer soiree, exploding with colour and an incredible energy that we just couldn’t wait to share with you.

Set at the stunning Orchard Estate in the Byron Bay Hinterland and planned by the very talented Kiera from Creative Weddings, we knew when we saw the first Pinterest Board that this was going to a fabulous day! Classic and minimal in its foundations, Ness and Sean always envisioned adding an explosion of colour as the cherry on top of their fabulous day and we were all here for it!

So let us introduce you to Ness and Sean and their chosen team of incredible creatives and talk you through how we collectively brought their exciting vision to life!

The Ceremony

Guests travelled to the wedding venue on the iconic red double-decker bus, which was the perfect way to set the tone for the fun, vibrant atmosphere they could expect for the rest of the day!

Our white bentwood chairs and white bentwood signing set created the timeless, minimal foundation for the ceremony which then allowed the focus to be immediately drawn to the fabulous flower bombs by the incredible Estelle from The French Petal. What an entrance!

Adding the earthy round jute rug helped to create a focal point for the ceremony and balance the white furniture with the red florals, blending both of these elements with the natural surroundings. Practically, the rug also added a little stability under Ness’s heels throughout the ceremony to ensure she could be comfortable and present for this very special moment (not slowly sinking into the grass)! This is always a great tip to keep in mind when holding your ceremony outdoors.

What better way to mark the end of the ceremony and celebrate becoming husband & wife than by popping on some sunglasses and popping a few bottles for the champagne tower! The use of our modern black & perspex champagne tower set was the perfect choice for this setting & for celebrating this monumental moment.

Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour kicked off with some Margaritas, Aperol Spritz and canapes, featuring the most fabulous modern monochrome furniture & décor from our hire range. Ness & Sean’s guests were not only comfortable but also looked oh-so-chic whilst they sipped their cocktails! The floral installation & drinks menu on the bar continued the flow of colourful accents throughout this space while the black lanterns and neutral cushion package added the finishing touches.

During cocktail hour, ensuring you have the appropriate number and combination of low comfortable lounges and more casual high bars with stools to suit all ages & mobility levels is essential. Including umbrellas in the warmer months for shade or heaters and blankets during the cooler months are also key elements that are often overlooked but can really make or break the afternoon. Lastly, don’t forget to consider the glassware that your cocktails will be served in, maybe the vintage champagne coupes or a large balloon wine glass suit your overall aesthetic or maybe modern stemless wine glasses or romantic crystal cut whiskey glasses are more your style. The love is in the details!

The Reception

As an architecturally impressive structure, the modern barn space with polished concrete floors, white walls and dark framing, provided the ultimate blank canvas to splash any colour palette on and this one certainly had the wow factor!

The neutral base of this look was created by utilising the trestle table, standard white plates and standard white napkins that were included at the venue. We then added our French white linen tablecloths, matte black cutlery & our favourite charcoal wine and water glasses. Our team folded the included napkins into a rectangle drape fold and placed them underneath the plates.

The combination of black lanterns, short pillar candles & tall, thin taper candles added some height, dimension and ambience to the table settings whilst the floral clusters and individual buds in glass vases infused the tables with vibrant colour.

The blush pink, oblong place cards created a fabulous feature on the plates, adding an interesting shape, a pop of colour and practicality with the menus on the back. A great money-saving tip when ordering your stationery!

This absolutely show-stopping cake by the incredibly talented Rebellyous Cakes was the perfect way to end the formalities and kick off the party! We utilised our white round signing table for the cake table and our silver cake knife for cutting, keeping it very simple and minimal so as to not take away from this incredible piece of edible art!
