The Ocean Room Photoshoot
The Byron Bay Surf Club is arguably home to one of Australia's most unique and breathtaking wedding views. Situated in the heart of Byron Bay, overlooking the sparkling Pacific and surrounded by the town’s vibrant energy, this photoshoot was designed specifically to showcase the immense styling potential of this premier beachfront venue. The aesthetic we created for this shoot captures the quintessential Byron vibe—airy, light, and laid-back—while remaining undeniably polished and modern. For the ceremony, we began with a marquee to provide shelter from the elements whilst ensuring we used a clear roof to keep the essence of the outdoor experience - not only during the afternoon but the evening under the stars as well. Exquisite linen draping from the marquee and and a carefully positioned backdrop provided a beautiful focal point, creating an intimate setting that also smartly guarantees privacy and eliminates any unwanted "photo-bombs" from the public beach during your vows. This refined coastal theme flowed into the spacious deck, where chic cocktail furniture, a romantic champagne tower and a contemporary white bar offered sunset-hour luxury. Inside, we continued the flow of linen draping from the ceilings and the tables, utilising ghost chairs to ensure we do not impede on the view. The table settings were modern and minimalist with pops of silver and mirrored pieces reflecting the beautiful natural light. We kept the florals to a minimal and instead focused on an array of different candles and our calico lanterns overhead. We absolutely love styling this venue - it really is the perfect blank canvas to build any aesthetic you can dream of!
